First Night-Short Sale Purchase Complete

I clearly have lost all organizational skills that I may or may not have had at one point in life. Spent my first night in my new house alone…that I bought alone…that I alone am in a panic about ripping up carpet and repainting every surface in site. Ralph Lauren suede paint took all day yesterday leaving me with puffy hands and no energy to prep for really important stuff like lugging my clothes upstairs from the car or locating which box I packed towels in 3 months ago.

4am I finally drift off to sleep waking up with 25 minutes to get ready for work. Gas service has been shut off over the weekend so into a cold shower - stepping out to a bar towel to dry off (luckily a clean one).  I completed hair and makeup, and proceeded to the garage wearing nothing but my purse accessorized with cell phone and keys. Yes. Yes! I got dressed in my garage. Slacks, top, bra, panties and shoes. It was kind of liberating. As I closed my car trunk full of clothes I thought to myself “It’s no wonder I’m alone. It’s probably better this way. At least for now.”

How much freedom is too much freedom?
